What is the title of this Japanese Novel?
Last week, I found this book on Amazon that looked pretty good, so I wrote it down. Of course, the paper I wrote it down disappeared! The story is a famous novel from Japan, and it is suppose to be well known:
It's about a boy and girl who have been best friends for years. Until one day the girl finds out she has cancer, so the boy says "Lets go to Australia like we promised!" before she dies. However, the girl dies before they leave and the boy runsaway to Australia and does not return to Japan for a few years. When he returns to his home town in Japan, he finds this old cassette tape from the girl, because they would record audio letters to each other.
That's all I can remember from the plot of the novel! Please help! I really want to read it!
